Vodafone has come up with a keyboard with a SIM card slot to enable you browse on your TV set. The webbox keyboard plugs into your TV via RCA connectors.
Plug the whole keyboard, switch on your TV and you will be able to browse worldwide Web in an Opera Mini 5.1 browser. You'll also be able to send SMS and email messages, and there'll be some media services packed in too, including an FM radio, a photo gallery tool and some form of music player. There are some games thrown in as well for good measure.

According to Vodafone hopes this device will give people in developing countries an opportunity to get online in places where Web connections are limited.

Hewlett-Packard unveiled a Windows-powered touchscreen tablet computer on Friday aimed at professionals, the latest entry into a growing market dominated by Apple's iPad.

The HP Slate 500 runs Windows 7 Professional (not Windows Phone 7) and it has an 8.9? touchscreen with overall weight of just 680 grams. It is slightly smaller than the iPad's 9.7-inch (24.6-cm) display, costs 800 dollars, about the same price as the top-of-the-line iPad.

HP described the Slate 500 as the "ideal PC for professionals who don't usually work at a traditional desk, yet need to stay productive in a secure, familiar Windows environment."

The Slate 500 is powered by an Intel Z540 CPU clocked at 1.86GHz and has 2GB of RAM. A dedicated video decoder will take the weight off the CPU, so you can watch 1080p problem-free. Internal storage takes the form of a 64GB SSD. Offers Wi-Fi connectivity to the Internet but does not have 3G cellular access.
It also has five hours of battery life and comes with a digital stylus that lets users write notes directly on the screen.

"The ability to easily incorporate custom business applications differentiates this product and ultimately enhances the user experience and saves time for HP's business and enterprise customers," it said in a statement.
