chromebase

In order to facilitate enterprise users, Google has announced a new Chromebase desktop computer from Acer which enables users to make meeting calls effortlessly. With ChromeOS installed, the Acer Chromebase boasts of an 'All-in-one video-conferencing' experience in an effort to increase productivity in the enterprise market.

This device hosts a 24-inch 720p HD IPS touch screen. It also contains three 3.0 and one 2.0 USB ports, an SD card reader, four microphones, a 720p front-facing camera, an HDMI slot and Bluetooth 4.0 technology.

innov8

Seagate has announced a new external hard drive called Innov8, which is the world's first desktop hard drive that is powered by a single cable: the one you use to connect it to your PC. As more and more devices come out with at least one USB Type C port, it makes sense to have some great peripherals available that can take advantage of it.

The latest member of Seagate's external hard drive family is an 8TB monster that doesn't need an AC adaptor to be powered, instead relying on the host device - such as a laptop or a desktop - to supply power via a USB Type C port. Even though this drive wouldn't saturate a USB 3.0 connection, Seagate has chosen a USB controller compliant with the newer (and faster) USB 3.1 specification.

visio speakers

Vizio has revealed that it's releasing a lineup of speakers and soundbars later this year. Just like the TVs, the new audio gear is based on Google Cast, with sleek designs that make it evident Vizio is going after Sonos' grip on the multi-room audio market. But even as regular old Bluetooth speakers, the products that the company showed sampled for us in New York earlier this month sounded pretty great. And they're easy to use, with a simple layout that uses a twist knob for volume; you can also just tap the top to pause or resume playback.

coresdoiphone5s story

Rumors of a new 4" iPhone have stretched back for a full year, originally stating that the device would launch alongside the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Today, that rumor becomes a reality.

The rumored 4" device was originally known as the iPhone 6C, then the iPhone 5SE, and finally, the iPhone SE, standing for Special Edition. As with the iPhone 5C, the rumors were that this was finally Apple's entry into the low end market. Also similar to the iPhone 5C rumors is that this theory was entirely incorrect.

amazon devices

Amazon is expanding its Alexa digital voice assistant to a broader range of devices today. Currently, Alexa only resides with Amazon Echo, Fire TV, and Fire TV Stick.

Echo Dot

The first of the two products is Echo Dot. This new device features the far-field voice technology that is already in Echo. This means that you don't have to hold a button and be within a few feet of the device when you're speaking to it.

Unlike Echo, Echo Dot doesn't double as a speaker. Paired with a speaker through Bluetooth or a wired connection, Echo Dot turns your speaker into an Amazon Echo.
